- Maddie Ferguson and Vanessa Stewart win a bronze medal at the Western Canada Summer Games in Lake Wabamum, Alberta.July 2007
Vanessa
is Zig Zag's newest Bronze V student to sail with the Manitoba
Sailing Team. She has teamed up with a sailor from Gimli in
a 29er and has been sailing with the team most of the summer.
This summer, she competed in the Richardson Regatta, Sail West
in Calgary, and the Canadian Youth Championship in Alberta.
This winter,2007, she will be training in Florida for one week
in January and competing in the 29er International event at
the Mid winters in February. Best of luck, Vanessa.

Paloma's most significant
racing achievements:
- Won a Silver medal at the Canada Summer Games, 2005 in the
Byte class ( 19 and under)
- Awarded Best 19 & Under Female Sailor in the Province
of Manitoba 2004 and 2005
- Awarded Sailor of the Year in the Province of Manitoba (along
with the other female Canada Summer Games team.)
- 3rd in the Byte fleet at the Midwinters in Florida in Feb,
2005
Paloma is a single-handed
sailor, sailing both a Laser Radial and a Europe and is a member
of the Manitoba Sailing Team.

- Placed 6th in the Bronze fleet at the 29er World's in
San Francisco, 2005
- Placed 1st at the Big Bird Classic and 1st at the Western
Intermediate Sailing Championships both at Pelican Lake Yacht

Mark and Triston have
been a members of the MSA Provincial Sailing team for the past
six years and have always sailed together.

Maddie and Celeste
have been members of the MSA Provincial Sailing team for the
last four years and have sailed together in a 29er this last
year. This winter 2007, the girls will be training in Florida

Parke and Chris Ferguson

Parke and Chris Ferguson's most significant achievements:
- Awarded the Best 2006 Under 19 Male Youth Sailors in the
Province of Manitoba by the Manitoba Sailing Association
- Placed 1st at the Richardson Regatta, 2006 at RLWYC
- Placed 12th out of 52 boats at Cork in the 29er North Americans,
2006
- Qualified for the Canada Summer Games, 2005 and placed 5th
in a highly competitive 23 & under Male 29er fleet.
- Awarded Best 19 & Under Male Sailor in the Province
of Manitoba 2003 and 2005 (Along with the other two male members
of the Canada Summer Games team).
- Placed 7th in the Bronze Fleet at the 29er World's in San
Francisco, 2005
- Have won the Corrin Cup, ZZYC Closed Cup Regatta in 2004
and 2005
Gord has been a member
of the MSA Provincial Sailing team for six years and has sailed
with his partner, Chris Ferguson, for the last three summers.
Chris has sailed with the team for the past four summers.
Chris has teamed up
with Chris Bradley in 2006 for regattas where Gord could not
qualifiy because of age, and together they have done extremely
well:
- Chris Ferguson and Chris Bradley win Bronze at the Canadian Youth Championship in Hamilton, August, 2007.
- Placed 2nd in 18 & Under Canadian Youth Championships
- Awarded the Sailors of the Year by MSA for 2006 for "making
the greatest provincial impact"to sailing for that year.
- This winter 2007, both Chris will be training in Florida
for one week in January and competing in the 29er International
event at the Mid winters in February. Best of luck to both
