back regularly as this site becomes more complete. As well,
other jobs may be created for potential programs being developed.
The
2007 Annual General Meeting was held November 29th, at the
Winnipeg Winter Club.
Approximately
30 members were present to hear Darrell Stewart present a
Docks and Grounds Redevelopment project, which is being explored
by the board. Feedback by ZZYC members on this project is
important and the topic was discussed at length. Two retiring
board members, Tannis Scott and Sharon Gorenstein, were presented
with gift baskets for their work at Zig Zag for the last two
years. Our caring thoughts are with Joanne. The new slate
of officers was presented and approved and can be viewed on
our web at Contact Us.
The
interesting evening concluded with wine, cheese, fruit, and
conversation.
The 2007
MSA Awards and Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony was held November
9th, at the Fort Whyte Centre.
Justin
Alkier, Vanessa Stewart, Chris Ferguson were honoured as well
as our 10 Learn to Sail instructors, our volunteers, and our
two MSA boardmembers, Marilyn Ferguson (VP Operations) and
Barb Parke (VP Teams).

2007 Zig Zag Open Regatta took place on July 7th & 8th.
Congratulations
to Maddie Ferguson and Celeste Ferguson from ZZYC for their
win in the Open Class. This means that the Harris Trophy comes
back to the club!

the mail?
This
is the Sailing News for Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario
and has many interesting articles about the sailing by our
sailors. If you didn't get your magazine, call MSA at 925-5647
and they will be happy to send you a copy.
The
cover picture of this edition is ZZYC's head instructor, Gord
Parke, and RLWYC's head instructor, Royden Brousseau sailing
the Olympic Class 49er from Kenora to Clearwater Bay, after
the Richardson Regatta finished. It took 4 hours and they
got home just before dark.
