UPDATE ON CAPITAL CAMPAIGN AND
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT 2008

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
Our present support has come from about 100 very generous member and non-member families who have cottages in the area. The Club is truly indebted and grateful to them. Contributions have ranged from a few hundred dollars to over $10,000. It is important to have as many supporters as possible, and all contributions are welcomed. Potential donors are asked to contact the Commodore Marilyn Ferguson, about donation opportunities, at

REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
The construction of the new clubhouse is completed. Ten new sailboats comprising 7 – Club 420's and 3 - Optis were purchased as well as a 29er, to add to our fleet of 5 Vanguard Prams. This brings our fleet to an enviable position and is now well equipped for our sailing program and to meet the training and competition needs of our many young sailors.
We also expanded our Summer Fun program for children 4 to 7 years and provided our youth with swimming Instruction, tennis lessons, boating safety, crafts, movies and other activities.
In addition, our new facilities allowed us to expand our social and recreational programs for adults and is a source of pride and pleasure for all to visit and enjoy.
However with all of these great programs and events comes the need to maintain our yacht club's premises. Erosion and drainage issues have presented themselves and have to be addressed to meet government standards.
A wish list has been has been developped by the board for expanding programs and future development of the site. For more information feel free to contact Commodore Marilyn Ferguson at (204) 488-0629
