Job Title: Head Summer Fun Instructor

Program:                    Summer Fun

Minimum Age:           17 years old as of June 30, 2012

Purpose:                     To lead and deliver a safe and fun recreation and activity program for children ages 4 –10.

Job Description:

· Responsible for designing the Summer Fun program curriculum consisting of weekly themes, games, and arts & crafts.

· Keep an organized binder outlining and detailing Summer Fun curriculum to be kept onsite

· Provide a weekly schedule for Instructors, parents and participants.

· Assign daily roles and responsibilities to other Summer Fun staff.

· Supervise Summer Fun staff and provide ongoing staff performance feedback.

· Write a program summary at the end of the season.

Experience / Prerequisites:

· Minimum Bronze Medallion swimming level

· St. John’s Ambulance First Aid (current)

· Minimum two years prior Summer Fun experience

· Must be well organized, enthusiastic and comfortable directing other staff
