Job Title: Sailing
Instructor
Bronze Level (Level II)
Program: Sailing
Minimum Age: 17 years old as of June 30, 2012
Purpose: To provide a fun, safe and learning environment that allows for the
development of sailing skills up to and including Bronze V.
Tasks:
- Prepare, develop and deliver daily
lesson plan and weekly outline.
- Keep organized binder to record
task completions.
- Place and return markers buoys for
each day.
- Provide sailing instruction from
dock/shore and instruction boat
- Daily approval of boat/equipment
storage
- Assist in docking/landing of
sailboats and powerboats to ZZYC
- Daily/weekly completion of:
Attendance Check Form, Sailor’s History Sheet and Student Evaluations.
- Gather information and details to
parent complaint and report to Head Sailing Instructor.
- Monitor and report on stock level
of supplies.
- Other Duties as Assigned
Experience/Prerequisites:
- Minimum one year instructing
at White Sail Level
- Pleasure Craft Operator
Card (PCOC)
- CYA Bronze Sail Level V
Certificate
- Emergency First Aid Award (St. John’s Ambulance
course) (current)
- Coach Boat Safety Course
- Respect In Sport course
- Coaching Fundamental Course
- Coaching Clinic Course for
Bronze Sail
